These Terms of Service were last updated on March 23, 2025.

PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF SERVICE ("TERMS" OR "AGREEMENT") CAREFULLY TO ENSURE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND EACH PROVISION, AS THESE TERMS CONTAIN IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, REMEDIES, AND OBLIGATIONS, INCLUDING VARIOUS LIMITATIONS AND EXCLUSIONS ON DAMAGES YOU MAY CLAIM AGAINST SORORA AND INDEMNIFICATION OBLIGATIONS YOU MAY OWE TO SORORA.

THESE TERMS CONTAIN A PROVISION REQUIRING MANDATORY ARBITRATION OF CLAIMS THAT, EXCEPT WHERE PROHIBITED BY APPLICABLE LAWS, REQUIRES THE USE OF ARBITRATION ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS TO RESOLVE CLAIMS, RATHER THAN JURY TRIALS OR CLASS ACTIONS.

If you are under the age of 18, STOP! You must get your parent or legal guardian to read and accept THESE TERMS. By using Sorora Products or Services, your parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms, and they are responsible for your use and any issues and claims related thereto.

***

Sorora protects you by connecting you with your loved ones and authorities in case of emergencies.

As you review these Terms, please keep in mind that they apply to the Sorora mobile application, website, Help Center, and any other associated services ("Services") provided by Sorora ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms also apply to Sorora's physical safety devices and any partner products integrated with Sorora technology (collectively, "Products").

These Terms of Service explain what you can expect from us and what we can expect from you in connection with your use of our Services and Products.

By accessing or using Sorora's Services (including downloading our mobile application), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, whether or not you are a registered user of our Products or Services. These Terms apply to all visitors and members who access or use the Products or Services (collectively, "Members"). Before using Sorora's Products or Services, please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, store, use, and share your personal information.

Consequences of Misuse

Any violation of these Terms, including the prohibited uses listed above, may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and access to the Services. Sorora also reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action, including cooperating with law enforcement authorities. Misuse of the Services may expose you to civil or criminal liability, including fines or imprisonment under applicable law.

BY ACCESSING OR USING THE PRODUCTS OR SERVICES, YOU AGREE TO THESE TERMS.

I. USE OF THE SERVICES

A. Eligibility

The Sorora Products and Services are intended for individual use. Accounts and subscriptions must be registered and operated by an individual user who provides accurate personal information (or, where applicable, their child's information) during account setup. You may use the Products and Services only if you are legally able to form a binding contract with Sorora and are in compliance with these Terms and all applicable laws, rules, and regulations.

Children under the age of thirteen (13) (or under fourteen (14) in jurisdictions such as Korea, or the minimum age required in your country) are not permitted to create an account without verified parental or guardian consent.

By providing consent for a child to use Sorora's Services, parents and guardians agree to:

  • (i) take full responsibility for and actively oversee the child's use of the Services, ensuring that such use complies with this Agreement, all referenced documents, and all applicable laws;
  • (ii) accept full responsibility and liability for the child's compliance with this Agreement and their use of the Services; and
  • (iii) accept on both their own behalf and the child's behalf all disclaimers, waivers, and limitations of liability contained in this Agreement.

The Services are not available to any Members who have previously been removed or suspended by Sorora.

B. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities while using Sorora's Products or Services:

  • Copying, distributing, transmitting, disassembling, decompiling, publicly displaying, republishing, licensing, selling, or disclosing any part of the Services in any medium, including without limitation by automated or non-automated "scraping," or by creating derivative works of the Services.
  • Attempting to discover or determine any source code, algorithms, methods, or techniques embodied in the Services or any derivative works thereof, or incorporating the Services or any portion thereof into another program or product.
  • Taking any action that imposes (or may impose, at Sorora's sole discretion) an unreasonable or disproportionately large load on our infrastructure, including the use of automated systems such as "robots," "spiders," "offline readers," or other software that sends more requests to our servers than a human could reasonably produce using a standard web browser or mobile application.
  • Transmitting spam, chain letters, or other unsolicited messages through the Services.
  • Uploading or transmitting invalid data, viruses, worms, malware, or other harmful software agents.
  • Collecting, harvesting, or attempting to obtain any personally identifiable information (including account names) from the Services without consent.
  • Using the Services for any commercial purposes without prior written authorization from Sorora.
  • Impersonating another person, misrepresenting your affiliation with any person or entity, engaging in fraudulent activity, or attempting to conceal your identity.
  • Interfering with or attempting to interfere with the proper functioning of the Services, compromising system integrity or security, or attempting to intercept or decipher transmissions between users and our servers.
  • Accessing any content on the Services through unauthorized technologies or means.
  • Bypassing or attempting to bypass security measures or restrictions we may use to control access to the Services, including mechanisms for age verification or parental consent, or by providing false or misleading information about your age, location, or identity.
  • Encouraging or engaging in conduct that restricts or inhibits another person's use or enjoyment of the Services, or that, in Sorora's determination, may harm Sorora, our Members, or expose Sorora or its users to liability.
  • Violating, or promoting the violation of, this Agreement or any applicable laws or regulations, including but not limited to those related to human trafficking, stalking, harassment, fraud, data privacy, export controls, intellectual property rights, or the rights of publicity and privacy of others.

C. License to Use the Services

Sorora grants you a non-exclusive, limited, non-transferable, and revocable right to access and use the Services on a single device that you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use only, and in accordance with the features and functionality of the Services. Sorora reserves all rights not expressly granted herein with respect to the Services and any Company Content.

Sorora may terminate or suspend this right at any time if you materially or repeatedly fail to comply with this Agreement, fail to follow instructions from our support team, if circumstances beyond our control prevent us from providing the Services, or if we discontinue the Services.

Consequences of Misuse

Any misuse of the Services, including violation of this Agreement or prohibited activities, may result in account suspension or termination. Sorora reserves the right to investigate and take appropriate legal action, including cooperating with law enforcement authorities. Misuse of the Services may expose you to civil or criminal liability, including fines or imprisonment under applicable law.

D. Accounts

To use Sorora's Products and Services, you must create an account. Your account provides access to the features and functionality of the Products and Services, which Sorora may update or modify from time to time at its sole discretion.

When creating your account, you must provide accurate and complete information. You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account and must keep your account password secure. We strongly encourage the use of "strong" passwords, including a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

You must notify Sorora immediately if you become aware of any unauthorized use of your account or any security breach. Except in cases of Sorora's negligence or breach of this Agreement, Sorora is not responsible for any damages or losses resulting from unauthorized use of your account.

As part of account creation, you are required to provide a valid form of identification to verify your identity. Sorora will securely store this information in compliance with applicable privacy laws and use it solely for verification purposes. Sorora may also perform background checks when necessary to ensure the safety and security of all Members. Providing false information or attempting to misrepresent your identity may result in account suspension or termination, and may also lead to legal action.

You can manage your account settings and control your interactions with the Products and Services via the "Settings" screen in the Sorora app. For example, you can add or remove trusted contacts, enable or disable alert notifications, manage privacy preferences, and control how your location or other data is shared.

E. Downloading Our App

When you download the Sorora App from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or any other app distribution platform (each an "App Store"), you acknowledge and agree that:

  • These Terms are between you and Sorora, not with the App Store. Sorora is solely responsible for the App and its content.
  • The App Store has no obligation to provide maintenance, support, or handle any warranty claims for the App.
  • The App Store is not responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability, consumer protection, intellectual property, or any claims that the App does not comply with applicable laws or regulations.
  • The App Store is considered a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them as they relate to your license of the App through their platform.

You must also comply with the App Store's terms and conditions when using the Sorora App.

II. Service Availability and Our Right to Terminate

Sorora may, without prior notice, modify the Services; stop providing the Services or any features of the Services, either to you or to all Members; or set usage limits for the Services. This may be done to improve performance or security, comply with applicable laws, prevent illegal activity or abuse of the Services, or if certain features can no longer be provided (for example, if a third-party service we rely on is discontinued). You may also choose to end your use of Sorora's Services at any time by closing your account.

Sorora may temporarily or permanently suspend or terminate your access to the Services without notice or liability if, in our reasonable judgment:

  • You materially or repeatedly violate any provision of this Agreement;
  • Your account has been inactive for twelve (12) months or more; or
  • Circumstances beyond our control prevent us from providing the Services.

In most cases, Sorora will provide prior notice before suspending or terminating access. However, we may do so without notice if we reasonably believe that giving notice could expose us to legal liability, interfere with an investigation, compromise the operation of Sorora's products or services, harm Members, or otherwise violate the law or directions from legal authorities.

III. Member Content

Some areas of the Sorora Services allow Members to upload or post content, such as profile information, images, text, comments, questions, messages, or other information (any such content you submit, post, display, create, or choose to make available is "Member Content"). Member Content does not include information collected from or about your device. Sorora does not claim ownership of the Member Content you create; it remains yours. However, by sharing Member Content through the Services, you grant the license described below and allow others to view, interact with, or share your content in accordance with your settings and this Agreement. Sorora reserves the right (but is not obligated) to remove any Member Content at its sole discretion.

You are solely responsible for your interactions with other Members. Sorora may monitor disputes, but is not obligated to do so. Sorora is not responsible for the actions, inactions, or content of other Members.

You agree not to post or transmit Member Content that:

  • Creates a risk of harm, damage, or loss to any person or property;
  • Exploits or harms children, including exposing them to inappropriate content or requesting personally identifiable information;
  • Constitutes or contributes to a crime or contains illegal content;
  • Is unlawful, harmful, abusive, offensive, defamatory, infringing, invasive of privacy, harassing, humiliating, threatening, profane, or otherwise objectionable;
  • Violates any law, contractual, or fiduciary rights;
  • Contains false, inaccurate, or misleading information;
  • Violates school or other applicable policies, including those regarding ethics or academic integrity;
  • Interferes with other Members' use of the Services or modifies/deletes another Member's content without permission; or
  • Solicits, advertises, or promotes goods, services, employment, or opportunities outside designated areas of the Services.

You represent and warrant that any Member Content you upload or post does not violate the rights of any third party, including Intellectual Property Rights or privacy rights. Sorora may investigate and take action—including removing content, suspending or terminating your account, or reporting you to authorities—if you violate this Agreement. To comply with legal requests, protect our systems, partners, or Members, or ensure Service integrity, Sorora may access and disclose account information, IP addresses, usage history, Member Content, or conduct as necessary.

For purposes of this Agreement, "Intellectual Property Rights" include all patents, copyrights, trademarks, trade secrets, moral rights, publicity, and other intellectual property rights, in any jurisdiction, existing now or in the future, including applications, registrations, and renewals.

By posting Member Content, you affirm that:

  • You have obtained consent from all individuals included in the content to use their names or likenesses as contemplated by the Services and this Agreement;
  • Your Member Content and Sorora's use of it will not violate any law or third-party rights, including Intellectual Property or privacy rights.

While Sorora may remove Member Content at its discretion, we do not guarantee that all content complies with these rules. You acknowledge that you may encounter content that is inaccurate, objectionable, inappropriate for children, or otherwise unsuitable, and you agree that Sorora is not liable for any damages resulting from such content. You are fully responsible for the Member Content you post and the consequences of sharing it.

IV. Member Content License Grant

By posting any Member Content on the Sorora Services, you expressly grant Sorora—and represent that you have all necessary rights to grant—a royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, list information about, edit, translate, distribute, syndicate, publicly perform, publicly display, and create derivative works of your Member Content. This includes your name, voice, and/or likeness as included in your Member Content, in whole or in part, and in any form, media, or technology, whether now known or developed in the future.

This license is granted for purposes of operating, developing, marketing, providing, and improving Sorora's Products and Services.

V. Terms Specific to Mobile Software

A. Mobile Software

As part of the Sorora Products and Services, we provide software and applications designed for mobile devices ("Mobile Software"). To use the Mobile Software, you must have a compatible mobile device. Sorora does not guarantee that the Mobile Software will work on all devices.

Sorora grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use a compiled copy of the Mobile Software for one account owned solely by you, for your personal use. This right does not constitute a sale, and Sorora retains all rights, title, and interest in the Mobile Software and any copies.

Without limiting the general restrictions in the "Prohibited Uses" section, which also apply to the Mobile Software, you may not:

  • Modify, disassemble, decompile, or reverse engineer the Mobile Software, except where prohibited by law;
  • Rent, lease, loan, resell, sublicense, distribute, or transfer the Mobile Software to any third party, or provide time-sharing or similar services;
  • Make copies of the Mobile Software.
  • Remove, bypass, disable, damage, or interfere with security features or content protection features of the Mobile Software; or
  • Remove copyright or other proprietary notices from the Mobile Software.

Sorora may issue upgraded versions of the Mobile Software from time to time. Where permitted, Sorora may automatically upgrade the version installed on your device. By using the Mobile Software, you consent to such updates and agree that this Agreement applies to all upgrades. Any third-party code included in the Mobile Software is subject to the applicable open-source or third-party licenses.

You agree to comply with all applicable laws in your jurisdiction, including but not limited to:

  • Canada: privacy, intellectual property, export control, and consumer protection laws;
  • United States: U.S. export laws, intellectual property, privacy, and other applicable federal and state regulations;
  • Other jurisdictions: any local laws relevant to your use, distribution, or import of the Mobile Software and Services.

B. Mobile Software from Apple App Store

The following applies to any Sorora Mobile Software you acquire from the Apple App Store ("Apple-Sourced Software"):

You acknowledge and agree that this Agreement is solely between you and Sorora, not Apple, Inc. ("Apple"), and that Apple has no responsibility for the Apple-Sourced Software or its content. Your use of the Apple-Sourced Software must comply with the current App Store Terms of Service. Apple is not obligated to provide maintenance, support, or handle warranty claims for the Apple-Sourced Software.

If the Apple-Sourced Software fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may contact Apple for a refund of the purchase price, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising from such failures are governed solely by this Agreement and applicable law as it relates to Sorora as the software provider.

Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or third parties related to the Apple-Sourced Software or your use of it, including but not limited to:

  • Product liability claims;
  • Claims that the Apple-Sourced Software fails to meet any legal or regulatory requirement; or
  • Claims under consumer protection or similar laws.

In the event of any third-party claim that the Apple-Sourced Software or your use thereof infringes intellectual property rights, Sorora—not Apple—will be responsible for investigating, defending, settling, and resolving such claims, as required under this Agreement.

You and Sorora acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this Agreement with respect to your license of the Apple-Sourced Software. By accepting this Agreement, Apple has the right to enforce these terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.

C. Mobile Software from Google Play Store

The following applies to any Sorora Mobile Software you acquire from the Google Play Store ("Google-Sourced Software"):

  • You acknowledge that this Agreement is solely between you and Sorora, not Google, Inc. ("Google").
  • Your use of the Google-Sourced Software must comply with Google's current Google Play Store Terms of Service.
  • Google is only the provider of the Google Play Store, where you obtained the Google-Sourced Software.
  • Sorora, not Google, is solely responsible for the Google-Sourced Software.
  • Google has no obligation or liability to you with respect to the Google-Sourced Software or this Agreement.
  • You acknowledge and agree that Google is a third-party beneficiary of this Agreement as it relates to your license of Sorora's Google-Sourced Software.
VI. Our Communications with You

A. Email Communications

By providing Sorora with your email address, you consent to our use of it to send Service-related notices, including any notices required by law, in place of postal mail. We may also use your email address to send other messages, such as updates to the Products' or Services' features and, where permitted, special offers.

If you do not wish to receive promotional emails, you may opt out by unsubscribing from such communications. Members in jurisdictions that require opt-in consent for promotional communications will be given the opportunity to provide such consent before receiving any non-Service-related messages.

B. SMS/Text Messaging

Sorora may offer you the option to receive recurring SMS/text messages, such as messages from family members or friends you invite to a Sorora group, or alerts related to the Service's monitoring features (the "Text Messaging Program"). We may also send SMS/text messages in the event of an emergency, such as the detection of a significant incident involving a Member of your group, or if you are listed as a Member's emergency contact.

By enrolling in the Text Messaging Program, you agree to receive SMS/text messages at the mobile phone number you provide. You certify that the number is accurate and that you are authorized to enroll it to receive messages. You acknowledge that messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system, standard message and data rates may apply, and message frequency may vary.

The Text Messaging Program may not be available on all carriers or compatible with all mobile devices. Carriers are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. The availability of the Text Messaging Program may also be restricted by local laws and regulations in your jurisdiction. Sorora is not responsible for any delays in sending or receiving messages and may modify or discontinue the Text Messaging Program at any time.

For help, reply "HELP" to any message from the Text Messaging Program. To unsubscribe, reply "STOP." After unsubscribing, you may receive one final confirmation message. You may also unsubscribe or resubscribe by contacting us at sorora.co@gmail.com

Please note that if you opt out of SMS/text alerts, we may not be able to contact you with important Service notifications. In emergencies or account-related matters, we will attempt to reach you via other methods, such as push notifications or email.

II. Our Proprietary Rights

Except for your Member Content, the Sorora Products and Services and all materials, services, and information contained therein or transmitted through them—including, without limitation, software, images, text, graphics, illustrations, logos, patents, trademarks, service marks, copyrights, photographs, audio, video, music, reports, features, functionality, design, presentation, analyses, and data, as well as the "look and feel" of the Services (collectively, the "Company Content")—and all Intellectual Property Rights related thereto, are the exclusive property of Sorora and our licensors (including other Members who post Member Content).

Except as explicitly stated in this Agreement, nothing herein grants you a license to any Intellectual Property Rights, and you agree not to sell, license, rent, modify, distribute, copy, reproduce, transmit, publicly display, publicly perform, publish, adapt, edit, or create derivative works from any Company Content. Use of the Company Content for any purpose not expressly permitted by this Agreement is strictly prohibited.

You may choose to, or Sorora may invite you to, submit comments or ideas about the Services, including ways to improve the Services or our products ("Ideas"). By submitting any Idea, you agree that your disclosure is unsolicited, voluntary, and without restriction, and that Sorora is free to use the Idea for any purpose without compensation to you, and/or disclose the Idea on a non-confidential basis to anyone. You acknowledge that, by accepting your submission, Sorora does not waive any rights to use similar or related ideas previously known to Sorora, developed by our employees, or obtained from other sources. Sorora is under no obligation to review, consider, or implement any Idea.

You represent and warrant that any Idea you submit does not and will not violate third-party rights of any kind, including Intellectual Property Rights or privacy rights.

III. Features of the Products and Services

The Sorora Products and Services include a variety of features, which may vary depending on your location, device, or subscription level. Some features require the Sorora Mobile Software to be installed on the devices where the features apply.

  • Location Safety Services – Allows you to share your location with trusted contacts for safety purposes.
  • Emergency Response and Assistance Services – Sends alerts to your emergency contacts or authorities in case of an emergency.
  • Digital Safety and Monitoring Services – Provides tools to monitor digital activity for safety and security purposes.
  • Additional Family & Safety Services – Includes disaster response, medical alerts, and travel safety features.
  • Device Features and Tracking – Enables device location tracking and status updates for connected devices.
  • Device Hardware Warranties – Covers hardware provided or supported by Sorora, subject to warranty terms.
IX. Billing, Pricing, and Payment Terms

This section outlines Sorora's policies regarding billing, pricing, and payment for the Products and Services. It includes important information about subscription fees, payment methods, billing cycles, and your responsibilities as a Member when using paid features or Services.

A. Billing Policies

If you choose to use Subscription Features, you agree to the pricing and payment terms displayed at the time you subscribe. Sorora may introduce new features for additional fees, or adjust fees and charges for existing services, at our sole discretion. Any changes to pricing or payment terms will apply only to you and take effect in the billing cycle following at least 30 days' notice of the change.

Sorora is not responsible for mobile data usage resulting from your use of the Services. Please consult your mobile provider regarding billing, as data rate charges and limits may apply.

1. Subscription Fees; Auto-Renewal

All subscription fees, plus any applicable taxes and charges (the "Subscription Fee"), are payable in advance at the beginning of your subscription term and at the start of each subsequent billing period at the then-current Subscription Fee.

You may have the option to pay your Subscription Fee on a monthly basis ("Monthly Subscription") or an annual basis ("Annual Subscription"). Your subscription will automatically renew until you cancel it.

  • Monthly Subscription: Sorora (or our third-party payment processor) will automatically charge you each month on the anniversary of your Monthly Subscription start date using the payment information you provided, until you cancel.
  • Annual Subscription: Sorora (or our third-party payment processor) will automatically charge you annually on the anniversary of your Annual Subscription using the payment information you provided, until you cancel. We will send you a reminder at least 30 days prior to each renewal with the current Subscription Fee.

We may send additional reminders for other subscriptions if needed. Sorora reserves the right to adjust Subscription Fees for Monthly and Annual Subscriptions, but we will provide advance notice of any increase applicable to your subscription.

If you change or upgrade your subscription, your billing date may also change:

  • Monthly → Annual: On your next billing date, you will be charged the current Annual Subscription Fee, and your subscription will renew annually thereafter.
  • Annual → Monthly (if available): On the next renewal date, you will be charged the current Monthly Subscription Fee, and your subscription will renew monthly thereafter.

If you purchase a Sorora subscription, you may apply the features associated with that subscription to one group or account. Those features will be available to all members in the group, up to the maximum allowed by the subscription plan. Only one member needs to purchase and apply the subscription to the group. Sorora is not responsible if multiple members purchase and apply subscriptions to the same group.

2. Free Trial Period

When you first register for a paid membership subscription, you may be offered a free introductory period ("Free Trial Period"). During this time, certain features may be limited or unavailable at our sole discretion. You may cancel your account at any point during the Free Trial Period to avoid charges. You may also change your account type at any time (before or after the Free Trial Period ends).

Each user is entitled to only one Free Trial Period per person (payment method or other unique identifier) within any twelve (12)-month period. If you do not cancel during the Free Trial Period, at the end of the Free Trial you will automatically be charged the then-current subscription fee for the plan you selected at registration. Charges will continue unless and until you cancel your subscription.

You may cancel a subscription at any time directly within the Sorora app by navigating to: Settings → Account → Cancel Subscription. If your subscription was purchased through a third-party platform (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play Store), you must also cancel recurring payments through that platform.

By accepting a Free Trial Period, you agree that, at the end of the Free Trial Period, your Payment Information will be charged the applicable Subscription Fee for a Monthly or Annual Subscription, as specified in the Free Trial offer, and at the beginning of each subsequent billing cycle. We may validate your Payment Information by placing a temporary authorization with your payment provider. If your payment method is invalid, we may revoke your subscription and terminate your Free Trial Period.

Depending on the subscription tier you select after the Free Trial, additional Sorora features may become available, including but not limited to:

  • Emergency Alert Activation (direct alerts to trusted contacts or authorities)
  • Location Sharing & History (real-time and past location visibility)
  • Safety Check-Ins (scheduled notifications to confirm your well-being)
  • Priority Emergency Response (faster handling of alerts and requests)
  • Trusted Contacts Management (customizable alert groups for family and friends)

These features will be detailed in the subscription plan you choose at the end of the Free Trial.

3. Payment Methods

Sorora accepts most major credit and debit cards, as well as in-app payments through third-party platforms such as Apple and Google. If we are unable to process a payment using the card or method you provided (e.g., expired card), we will notify you to update your payment information. You will have a seven (7)-day grace period to update your billing details. If you do not update your account within this time frame, we may suspend or terminate your subscription.

By purchasing a product or subscription (each, a "Transaction"), you expressly authorize us (or our third-party payment processor) to charge you for that Transaction. You may be asked to provide additional information relevant to your Transaction, including your credit card number, expiration date, billing address, and email address (collectively, "Payment Information"). You represent and warrant that you are legally authorized to use the payment method provided. You acknowledge and agree that Sorora is not liable for any acts or omissions of your payment provider. When you initiate a Transaction, you authorize us to share your Payment Information with third parties as necessary to complete the Transaction and to charge your payment method for the applicable amount (plus any taxes or other charges). In some cases, you may be required to provide additional verification of your identity before completing a Transaction.

Sorora is not responsible for charges or expenses you may incur due to payments processed in accordance with this Agreement (such as overdraft fees or credit card limit fees). By providing a payment method with advanced authorization features (e.g., certain PayPal accounts or in-app payment methods such as Apple or Google), you authorize Sorora to continue charging that method for all amounts owed, including taxes, until your account is settled and your subscription is terminated by you or Sorora.

We reserve the right to limit the number of accounts that may be associated with a single credit card, payment method, or other identifying information per unique user.

4. Pricing Changes

We may update subscription prices from time to time due to factors such as inflation, market conditions, or business requirements. If you have an active subscription, we will notify you of any price changes in advance, either by email (if you have provided a valid email address), through the Services, or by another available method. Price changes will take effect at the start of your next billing cycle. If you do not wish to continue your subscription at the new price, you may cancel your subscription before the new pricing takes effect by following the instructions in Section X (Cancel Your Subscription or Close Your Account).

C. Refunds

No Refunds for Services/Subscriptions

You may cancel your account at any time in accordance with Section X (Cancel Your Subscription or Close Your Account). However, except as provided in Section X(B) (Cancel Your Subscription During the Cooling-Off Period) or where prohibited by applicable law, no refunds will be issued for:

  • any unused time on a subscription,
  • any license or subscription fees for any portion of the Services,
  • any content or data associated with your account, or
  • any other fees paid.

When you cancel, your subscription will remain active until the end of your current paid period, and you will retain access to features until then. For example, if you purchase an annual subscription and cancel after two months, you will not receive a refund for the remaining ten months. Instead, you will continue to enjoy access to the features until the end of the twelve-month term you already paid for.

2. Payment Information; Taxes

All information you provide in connection with a purchase, subscription, or other monetary transaction through the Services must be accurate, complete, and current. You agree to pay all charges incurred by you or any users of your account or payment method (credit card, debit card, or other accepted method) at the prices in effect at the time such charges are incurred.

You are also responsible for paying any applicable taxes related to such purchases or transactions.

X. CANCEL YOUR SUBSCRIPTION OR CLOSE YOUR ACCOUNT

A. Cancel Your Subscription or Close Your Account

You may cancel your subscription or close your account at any time. To do so, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account within the Sorora app.

If you purchased your subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you must also cancel your recurring payments directly in those stores to avoid future charges.

Alternatively, you may contact us by email at sorora.co@gmail.com with your name, the email address associated with your account, and a phone number where we can reach you.

Please allow up to five (5) business days for us to process your cancellation request. To ensure your request is processed before the next billing cycle, we recommend submitting your cancellation at least one week before the end of your current billing period. Your cancellation will take effect at the end of that billing period.

B. Cancel Your Subscription During the Cooling-Off Period

If you are a consumer based in the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA), or the United Kingdom (UK), you have a legal right to withdraw from contracts for paid subscriptions within fourteen (14) days of the date of purchase.

For more information about your right to withdraw and instructions on how to exercise this right, please see our support article: "EU/EEA/UK Consumer Right of Withdrawal Information."

XI. NO PROFESSIONAL ADVICE

If the Services provide professional information (for example, medical, legal, or other specialized advice), such information is for informational purposes only and should not be considered professional advice. You should not take any action based solely on information provided by the Service. Instead, you should seek independent advice from a professional who is licensed or qualified in the relevant field.
